Hair Jewelry

Ever wonder what to do with all of those earrings that are missing their partner? Or how about buttons, rhinestones or ribbon? All you need is a little glue and some bobbypins or hair barrettes to make your own hair jewelry! You can find stuff like this all over ebay. Lots of DIY (do-it-yourself) projects that you would pay big money for in a store! I've found my favorite to make are bobbypins with fake silk flowers glued with a glue gun. I've been doing it for years, but it seems like the flower accent in the hair is back in a big way. Very glamorous. Very summer! So if you'd like to create that look just go to your nearest craft store and you can find all of the supplies you need. Coordinate colored flowers with your outfits for summer. These are perfect to add a "pop" of color to a solid dress or great to dress up a rather plain outfit. You don't have to be going to a wedding to pull this look off!

The Ideas of March Are Upon Us!

Spring is here......almost. I'm ready for a complete change! A little "spring cleaning" of myself if you must! I just had Tom do a GREAT 20 out shampoo bodifier on my hair. 20 shampoos and it's gone so there is NO commitment! I now have LOTS OF VOLUME and I don't have to shampoo everyday. I have beautiful hair that's full of volume for 3 days. I've got exercise to deal with my weight, but I look and feel fabulous! I've had so many compliments on my hair since the bodifier and new hightlights.

How about you?
Oh, have I mentioned our Rose shampoo with 01 conditioner for shine? Locks in that red tone to my hair and makes it oh so shiney! Our new product "Straight UP" is a hit! At last! Volume, shine, and NO FRIZZ all in one! HEAVEN!
My skin is still dry. Dream Cream! I will still use olive oil if I don't have my Intensive had cream in the kitchen after dishes.

What do you think???

Winter in New England...Like a tropical vacation?

Ever notice how dry your hair and skin get in the winter? Kind of like when you're out "baking" in the summer sun.
Dry indoor heating and cold dry air dehydrate both hair and skin.
Sun and salt water do it differently, but your hair after a day in the sun
can feel "crinkly". So might we recommend a couple of products to "protect" you through the winter, and even that winter vacation.

Dream Cream w/ Q-10! Hydrates, protects, soothes, and smoothes the skin.
Conditioner 02, and Power Therapy both are perfect for that extra deep conditioning and smoothing you need to battle the elements!

FAQ'S

Q: Is shampooing daily harmful for your hair?

A: No. The short answer is only use shampoo designed for your scalp and hair type. ie: oily, dry scalp, chemically treated or sun damaged. My suggestion is to rub a small amount of designed shampoo onto roots and lather, then let shampoo rinse onto ends.

Q: Do you perm your hair before or after coloration?

A: Perm before coloring your hair, and wait up to 3 days (72 hours) before coloring. That way the perm will have time to properly oxidate.

Q: How can I maintain my hair color in between coloring sessions?

A: You can use a "Color Shampoo"(like our Tintelations Color Shampoos)that deposit small amounts of pigment to keep hair color looking fresher longer. Or you can you a color friendly shampoo (like our Shampoo 01) that is made especially for chemically treated hair. Got Grey? Need to stretch out your color a few days longer? Try a "Grey Free" instant touch up hair color wand to cover your grey roots around your hairline and part! They shampoo right out, and are easy to use like a mascara wand!

Q: How can I make my curly hair look soft and non-frizzy?

A: We recommend using our product Behave as a leave in conditioning balm and de-frizzer. Take a quarter size amount of Behave (or more depending on how much hair you have) and distribute evenly through towl dried hair. Let dry naturally, or if you use a diffuser, twirl hair into separate sections and dry.
